THE family dentist
Dr. Taryn grew up outside of Lake Tahoe, Nevada and attended undergrad at California Lutheran University where she played on the volleyball team while running the pre-dental program. She then moved to Arizona to attend A.T. Still University and received her DMD degree. She met her husband while attending dental school and together they have a beautiful son, Jack, and a daughter, Madison. Dr. Wollschlager loves to give back to her community and regularly participates in Give Kids a Smile and AZMOM. Dr. Taryn also regularly attends monthly study clubs with fellow dentists while maintaining her continuing education. When she isn't working, Dr. Taryn loves to run outside with her husband, golf, ski and spend time with her family and two French bulldogs. Dr. Taryn believes in providing comprehensive dental care to her patients and enjoys getting to know them on a personal level. Providing comfortable care is her specialty!

Dr. Matter was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. She attended Arizona State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master’s in Healthcare Delivery. She then continued her education at A.T. Still University and received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Her and her husband, Trey, have two sons, Bryson and Braxton. Outside of work and spending time with her family, she enjoys relaxing at the lake or pool, traveling, crafting, and cheering on her favorite football teams. Shebelieves that a smile is one of your best assets and one of the first things people notice. A beautiful smile can make a great first impression, and she takes great joy in helping her patients achieve the confident smile they’ve always wanted.
Dr. Danielle Matter
Dr. Austin Shackelford is fortunate to be the 5th generation of his family to serve the dental field in the Valley for over 110 years. After being born and raised in Phoenix, he earned his BA degree at the University of Utah and was a captain of the baseball team. He returned home to Arizona and graduated with his DMD from A.T. Still University. Dr. Shackelford then completed specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology at Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Austin loves continuing his family legacy by providing optimal care to his patients using his strong foundation in general dentistry and his specialty training in the recognition, diagnosis, and management of oral diseases, infections, and cancer. He is a member of the Arizona Dental Association, is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, and is a fellow of The American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology. In his free time, Dr. Austin enjoys running, biking, and hiking with his wife, Carleigh, and their two Australian Shepherds, Raine & Weezy.
